How to practise
Week 3 in standard pregnancy dating often comes before there is anything to see, and sometimes before there is anything to know. This practice is built for that honest in-between: releasing the urge to monitor; letting the unknown be unknown.
This week sits in the space where nothing can be confirmed and nothing can be checked. The mind wants to search the body for answers it does not yet have. This practice offers a kinder alternative: a way to set the question down, ease off the monitoring, and rest instead of watch.
Find a position that supports you (seated or lying down). Press play and let the guidance move at its own pace. There is no correct way to feel, and nothing to visualize on demand.
This episode is written for week 3. It fits best the not-yet-knowing days, when there is nothing to check, though you can return whenever the week feels heavy or unfamiliar.
Each week in the series stands alone. Listeners often join at their current week and circle back later; the arc rewards continuity, but nothing here assumes you have been listening since week one.

Welcome to Week Three.
This is one of the most invisible weeks there is. Nothing can be known yet, and nothing can be checked. That can be hard for a mind that wants to watch and measure.
So today is about a different skill. Setting the question down for a while, and letting the unknown stay unknown, without it costing you your peace. Let's begin.
…
Let's settle in.
…
Find a position that holds you well. Let the chair or the bed take your weight fully.
…
Let your eyes close, or rest them softly downward.
…
Breathe in slowly through your nose.
…
And out, releasing the day a little.
…
Let's steady with the breath. In… one… … two… … three… … four…
…
And out, unhurried. Out… one… … two… … three… … four… … five… … six…
…
Again, in your own time.
…
Let the counting go now.
…
In weeks like this, there is often an urge to search. To notice every small feeling and ask it a question. Is this something? Is this nothing? The mind turns into a watchman, scanning for news that has not arrived.
…
It comes from caring. But it is exhausting, and it almost never brings the certainty it is looking for.
…
So let's give the watchman a rest. Imagine the question you keep picking up, and picture setting it down on a shelf across the room. You can still see it there. You do not have to hold it tonight. It will keep until it is ready to be answered.
…
And each time the urge to check rises again, you do not have to follow it. You can notice it, like a knock at a door you do not have to answer, and come back to your breath.
…
There is a kind of peace in not knowing yet. Not the peace of having an answer, but the peace of being allowed to wait without working at it. For these few minutes, you are off duty.
…
Let yourself be off duty. Nothing needs watching tonight.
…
Now, three quiet truths. Let each one land in the body.
…
The first. I can let the unknown be unknown.
…
Notice where you feel that, if you feel it anywhere.
…
The second. I do not have to watch what I cannot change.
…
Let it settle.
…
And the last. I am whole, whatever this week holds.
…
You do not have to be sure of it. Just let it rest with you.
…
Stay here a little longer, breathing, with the question safely on its shelf.
…
And when you are ready, begin to return. Feel your weight. Feel your breath.
…
Let your eyes open slowly, if they were closed.
…
And carry this ease gently with you.
…
That is the end of this week's practice.
The not-knowing weeks can be quietly hard. Be kind to yourself in them. If the waiting weighs on you, reaching out to someone you trust is never a weakness.
We will meet again next week.
